The short version: we collect what's needed to run Cork and nothing more. No ads, no selling data, no tracking pixels following you around the internet.

What we collect

Account data — your email address and name (via our sign-in provider, Clerk), used to sign you in and to send occasional service email (receipts, important account notices).
Your content — the boards, cards, and images you create, stored so we can show them back to you.
Billing data — handled by Polar, our merchant of record. We never see or store your card number.
Basic logs — standard server logs (IP, timestamps) kept briefly for security and debugging.

Who processes it

Cork runs on a small set of infrastructure providers, each processing data only to provide their service to us: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database & image storage), Vercel (hosting), and Polar (payments, as merchant of record). We don't sell or share your data with anyone else, full stop.

Who can see your boards

You. Boards are private to your account unless you create a share link, in which case anyone with that link can view (not edit) that board until you disable it. We don't read your content except when strictly necessary to debug a problem you've reported, or if required by law.

Cookies

Cork uses the cookies required to keep you signed in. There are no third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

Deleting your data

Deleting a board permanently deletes its cards and images. Deleting your account removes your content from our systems (short-lived backups age out automatically). Export your boards as markdown any time — your words are yours.
